I’m thrilled to share the news that my short story “Good Boy” was selected to be a part of Metaphorosis Magazine‘s Best of 2020 anthology! “Good Boy” is a science fiction short story that spans several generations and depicts humanity’s struggles against an extinction-level crisis—all told from the perspective of a loyal and intrepid dog. It was my first-ever published work of short fiction, and I was delighted that it originally found an amazing home amongst so many other fantastic tales in the October 2020 issue of Metaphorosis.

Now my humble story of a curious canine lives on in a new collection, one that is likewise filled with some incredible speculative fiction. Metaphorosis Magazine continually showcases truly unique and beautiful stories in each of its issues, and this Best of 2020 anthology represents a diverse selection of tales that showcase all that science fiction and fantasy can offer. This collection was also forged from an unprecedented and difficult year, and these tales illustrate that, in the words of editor B. Morris Allen, “silver linings do exist.”

I wholeheartedly recommend checking out this anthology—there’s something in it for every fan of speculative fiction.
